Better Results with User Testing - Why, When, What and How

Do you feel unsure about who your users are, what they need and what would make them super happy? Analytics are a great place to start but you simply won’t know the full story without talking to your users.

There are numerous tools that are both affordable and quick to implement that will allow you to build a better website without derailing your budget and timeline.

During this session we will start by discussing real world situations where testing can make a big impact, since we all have limited time and money.

Next we will cover the various testing options available for identifying user needs and ideas, testing the page structure and labels, determining comprehension level of your content, evaluating the success of the look and feel of the site, and observing if different working components are effective.

For each tool and technique we will dive into the ideal situation for using that type of testing, cover the pros and cons, and walk through the cost, timeline impact, and available tools. Along the way we will highlight when testing has been successful on our past projects as well as times when it might have not been worth completing.

You will walk away knowing what to use, when to use it, why it will improve your project, and how you are going to do it. You will also receive a large document listing numerous resources for remote testing and a list of articles and books to learn more.
